Friends

So this was a conversation I had with God a little while ago. Well maybe not literally with God himself face to face but most likely the Holy Spirit.

“Dang God, thanks for all my friends. All of them. Amy, Niall, Ben Cave, Tom, Cory, Mike, Jeremy…I can’t even name them all. I don’t know where I would be without them. Man, You have no idea how much they….Oh wait, you probably do have an idea.”
“A very good idea.”
“Wow.”
“Yea.”
“You’re so freaking awesome.”
“I know.”

Amy is officially off to Peru. Pray for her, everyday, every hour, on the hour, on the half, and whenever you feel like it.

I leave for my Mexico cruise in a little over an hour. And my foot still hurts from when I kicked Krysti last night. She deserved it though.

Since I bought my new Ipod case, my I pod won’t fit into my transpod FM transmitter. I’ve had to resort to CD’s the past week. CD’s are fine but I can only bring so many. I’m looking into buying an Audio Visor that holds 20 CD’s. So far the best deal is at CompUSA for $10. Then again my Dad and I also took apart the transpod to see if we could drill some holes into it so the new case would fit. Hmmmm, that’ll be an adventure. It actually already was an adventure. It took us 20 minutes of trying to pop the top off to see the inside with a screwdriver, 20 minutes of us scaring the outer edge, 20 minutes wasted when we finally realized that behind the funny little fuzzy pads there were actually screws holding it together. Luckily, it still works. Now I just need to sand it back smooth because there are a lot of jagged edges now.

Today my boss ran out of work for me to do so I sat down and did my homework. Then I finished and I read Jurassic Park. Pretty sweet eh?

Does your car have a tape adapter? That’s what I’ve been using. Audio quality is really good, probably better than over the radiowaves.

    Have fun in Mexico.

Hooking an Mp3 player up to a car without loss of sound quality isn’t terribly hard. I wouldn’t even consider an FM transmitter and would only resort to tape at last resort.

You need an auxiliary input adapter for your head unit. Even if it is stock there’s a chance there is an adapter available. And if not there are FM modulators (different from transmitters, they plug directly into antennae on the stereo to minimize interference).

I use to have a Kenwood head unit in my old truck and I got the adapter that plugs into the cd changer port and it worked great. Just ran the RCA cable out from under the dash and up to the center console and plugged straight in.

The best list of available adapters I’ve found is at Installer.com.
