Politics

I must say that all this talk in politics has finally got me into gear. I’m actually reading up on candidates and their vice presidential picks.
I am very intrigued, probably the 50th time you’ve read this today, about McCain’s pick of Palin.
She is definitely different, and FAR FAR away from Washington DC so she will bring many new ideas to the table I think.
I know that she is getting heckled left and right about how she is attacking Obama’s weak points. But, I think she is getting hit the hardest. The news is leading everyone to believe that she is a super unqualified candidate, ineffective mother(only to get worse if she gets into the White House), and has some sort of baby scandal!

Person A: “Did you see all that about Palin’s Baby scandal! What is that about?”
Me: “Uhh, that’s about her daughter. She’s just a pregnant teenager. Not a real big deal.”
Person A: “No, no. I know that, I’m talking about her scandal! I say an article with a picture of her and it said baby scandal!”
Me: “Did you read that article?”
Person A: “Well, no…I just saw the picture and the title…”

Really? Anyways, since the media loves Obama so much they should listen to him about the family thing. Off limits people. Being the Vice President won’t make her a bad parent just like being the president won’t make Obama a bad parent. It’s the same illogical argument.

I think the real reason why they are slamming Palin so hard about her family is that when the story comes out about Obama’s half brother, it’s going to hit the roof. No wonder why Obama is trying to say families are off limits!

EDIT://
STOP THE PRESS!!
Outrage that there are more white people than blacks at the Republican convention!!
“How can it have come to this.”
Didn’t you all know? Black people are better than white people.

I heard the media mention several times about how it was almost all white, and it was ridiculous. The only intelligent discussion I heard about it was from Michael Steele, a rising black Republican. It bothered him not because there were too many white people, but because he thought the party wasn’t reaching out to minorities enough, and from a purely strategic standpoint he might be right.

But anytime you start saying there aren’t enough of such and such people, it begs the question, how many should there be?

But I agree, very excited about Sarah Palin!
